Fatherhood 447
If you live in the lower peninsula of Michigan, and you have any love for the spirit of Christmas and/or The Polar Express movie, I’d definitely recommend the train ride as a worthwhile experience. I’d also recommend jumping on those tickets fast, as they don’t last long. It’s run by the Steam Train Institute, with all the profits from the tickets going back into keeping steam trains chugging, so it’s all good; the staff are all volunteers, so they’re very friendly and upbeat. Also, the Santa they had in the little Christmas village was fantastic – fit the role like a tailor-made glove – and the girls had a LOT of fun. Also, at the ticket tier we got, you get unlimited hot cocoa. 😀
My shirt has three little dots that are visible… those are the pellets from my Ghostbusters/Pacman mashup, which most of you probably don’t remember (you can see it clearly waaay back in #88, though!). Stacy’s wearing a new shirt, with a picture from the Girl Genius webcomic which you can barely see. It says “Happy Samhain Witches” – yes, it’s more Halloween than Christmas, but I guarantee you that she’ll wear that thing year round. 😉 The girls are in their Thanksgiving best, with Kia wearing a black, velvety dress, and Arwyn wearing her much-loved sweaterdress.
