I was describing Kia’s very distracted, “Sunday drive” mentality towards bike rides to my mom and she tells me that she’s the same way, that’s why she never got into riding motorcycles (watching the scenery while driving high speeds isn’t a good idea) – which I will keep in mind if Kia ever considers them. With that in mind… thanks, mom. We go for a couple laps around the neighbourhood and it takes like half an hour. I could do ten laps on my own riding casually (which I don’t generally do). Arwyn gets me; she’ll be racing cars when she’s older, just for the sake of seeing if she can do it. Anyway, I spend most of the ride with my brakes on to keep from zooming past them without even peddling, telling Kia to pay attention and speed up, and telling Arwyn to slow it down because she’s getting too far ahead. It’s like herding cats on bikes.
My shirt features Deadpool hanging upside down (from a parachute or something?) and out of view is him yelling “TACOS!” Because tacos. Kia is wearing her Princess Awesome, magic-themed dress (https://princess-awesome.com/) and proudly showing off her pockets, while Arwyn is wearing a prismatic shamrock on pink, because Irish and stuff.
