Fatherhood

On this week’s episode of “I’m too old for this crap…”  Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of sledding – it involves being out in the cold – but it was fun riding down with them.  And inevitably crashing into the other one at the bottom.  Had some new snow pants that kept me pretty warm, and I was wearing my knit Viking helmet, so that was a plus, but with the tubes turning me backwards (going downhill, trying to keep from dumping, so leaning forward), my back was very not happy with me.  Couple of jarring bumps, too.  Only really bad part was when we tried out the wooden toboggan.  I don’t know what it was with that thing, but it kicked up snow like crazy.  Had a face full of snow before we were halfway down and the girls didn’t get any better.  Only used that thing once.

I’m wearing my Firefly-inspired “Captain Tightpants” shirt, while Kia’s got her kitty-face dress, and Arwyn is wearing her shiny pink jacket and carrying the wand that came with her birthday cake, since she had her birthday yesterday!
