Fatherhood 704
They did enjoy themselves on the fieldtrip, which involved a lot of walking through some very old forest (on the one freakin’ day that it rained this week) with a guy who’s studied trees for over twenty years, so we learned plenty of cool stuff. That said… Halloween takes precedence, it appears. We wandered around with our neighbours and their children, plus some extended family (one of whom the girls also play with on a regular basis), so there was a horde of kids running around. Emphasis on running – we had to keep telling them to stop and wait, or have them come back and start over. 😛
I’m wearing one of my Firefly shirts, featuring “Terrifying Space Monkeys!” That’s what we were trick-or-treating with, as it happens. Stacy’s celebrating the culmination of the mystical season with her Faery Wisdom shirt, and the girls are not showing off their costumes, because those will be shown when we hit Comic Con in a couple of weeks! Kia’s wearing her cats-on-bookshelves dress from Princess Awesome, and Arwyn is enjoying the unusually warm weather that October gave us with a flowery dress.
