It’s no surprise that Kia picked up on identifying cows and their sounds quickly, as Stacy collects them and they’re all over the kitchen, especially, but she’s been learning plenty of others, too.  I’ve got a painting of a lion on the wall upstairs that I’ve been showing her pretty much since day one and, while she’s been able to point it out when I ask “where’s the lion?” she’s now roaring along with me, which is just too awesome.  😀  She also, as it happens, thinks that it’s absolutely hilarious when the cats hiss at each other or her (not exactly getting the message they’re trying to send, but hey), so we started hissing at her during play and she dutifully hissed back, giggling all the while.  Plenty of places tell you how important repetition is for teaching a baby, but having fun with it helps a lot, too!  (For the child and the parents!  ;P )

I’m wearing my Weird Al shirt, not that you can really see it, and Stacy’s wearing one that says “You gotta be kitten me.”  The last time she wore it in the comic, you couldn’t see have of it, so I made sure it was visible this time.  Meow!  Anyway, Kia’s got a cute little overall type outfit, which are actually shorts, not that you can see that, either.   She likes to pull on of the straps down and wear it as an off-the-shoulder number.  Why?  Hell if I know, but dad won’t her go out of the house dressed like that!  *shakes fist*  (I’m getting in practice for her teenage years.)
