Fatherhood

While I make no claim to being a master of pancake creation, I do make some half-decent (ie. recognizable) animals, which Kia gets very excited about.  Of course, she gets really excited about triangle pancakes, too, so the bar isn’t very high.  I’m just happy if the animal she thinks it is, is the one that I was actually gunning for.  And, yes, she calls tyrannosaurus rexes “rexy” because that’s what Caillou calls his toy.  While she’s not as enamoured with Charlie Brown’s cousin as she used to be, but she’s still pretty fond of the little snot.

I’m wearing a Firefly shirt that says “You are beginning to damage my calm.”  For those of you unblessed by knowledge of Firefly, it’s a quote from Jayne.  Now go watch the whole series; it’s one of the best ever made.  Kia’s outfit is a little more animated, what with Anna and Elsa from Frozen dancing all over it (another one of grandma’s creations).  It’s not as incredible as Firefly, but it is pretty… *puts on sunglasses* cool.
