Fatherhood

There are times – many of them – when conversations with Kia will leave you stunned silent while your brain tries to sort out what happened to cause that train-wreck of thought.  This isn’t entirely unusual for those of us with ADD, as we can often have our brains play connect-the-dots and jump from one thing to another, while the mouth just finally puts out the end result, but those connections usually take a minute while you ponder in silence… and they can actually be explained.  With Kia, it’s instant – and don’t even THINK about asking her to explain where it came from, or she’ll just do it again.  ;P

We’re all getting into the spirit of the season.  No, not Christmas; I mean Star Wars season!  I’m celebrating the release of the new movie by showing off my brand new The Force Awakens shirt (obtained courtesy of Nerdblock!) and Stacy’s doing likewise with her New Hope shirt (that’s one of her work outfits, by the way, ‘cause she’s awesome like that).  Arwyn’s rocking the Star Wars, too, with a bit of TIE fighter vs. X-wing action on her shirt, and Kia’s the odd one out (she’s outgrown all her SW shirts… will need to remedy that), but at least she’s still (football) seasonal, with her Detroit Lions shirt.
