We did, indeed, attend Grand Rapids Comicon 2016, and had a fantastic time of it (though Saturday was a wee bit crowded for my tastes).  Lots of awesome geekery to be had by all.  😀  The girls were mesmerized by all the costumes, even while they rocked their own.  Kia also managed to track down a second Anna cosplayer, as well as an Elsa, both of whom were generous enough to take time to say hello to all the little kids wanting to meet them; I’m pretty sure that they know what they’re in for when they don those costumes, but I still commend them on their patience and willingness to take time out for the kids.  Arwyn managed to “capture” herself a Poison Ivy and a Mr. Freeze (who actually let her hold his freeze gun while he posed for a pic with her).  Cosplayers are a special breed of people, and they are first class.

I’m wearing my latest acquisition from the Firefly Lootcrate, “The many faces of Wash*” with the notation at the bottom “*while flying Serenity.”  You can only clearly see the “terrified” expression, which I like to think of as the “I’ve gotta pee really bad” face, but there are eight more.  Stacy’s keeping it sparkly with her usual purpleness, while Arwyn’s gone more the shimmery route with her Batgirl costume.  Lastly, Kia’s sporting her wonderful Wonder Woman costume, complete with a pretty awesome shield.  😀
