Fatherhood

There have, of course, been times when the language that we think they say really is what they said… and those are generally chronicled somewhere in the archives of this comic.  That said, there are plenty more times when what we hear is waaaay worse than what they actually said.  This will sometimes stop us cold – especially if we’re in public – while our brains translate her words.  Or, sometimes, we just ask her to run that by us again.  What’s really funny is how perturbed they can get about having to reiterate themselves, when they’ll often come off like a skipping record, repeating themselves multiple times for absolutely no reason.  We’re working on that.

My shirt – which I’ve had for a verrrry long time – says “I’m making this up as I go along.”  Basically, it’s the mantra of my fatherhood.  Arwyn is wearing some pajamas, and while you can’t really see them, it’s got Mickey and Minnie kissing, drawn in a very old style (like early days of Disney).
