The eclipse was pretty cool to experience, though we did have the drama of a large cloud passing through during the few minutes right before its peak; it cleared just in time. We had the glasses, so the girls got to actually look at it, which made it a lot more interesting than doing the old pinhole box thing. That aside, though, the playground in Owensboro, KY, is frickin’ huge! Seriously, they were running around like maniacs and having a blast. Oh, and the really amazing part? On-site restrooms! Like, nice ones. 😀 And bench swings for parents to sit on while they wait, which happened to be in the sun, which began my face-roasting for the day. We actually went their twice (the second time WITH sunscreen) and the girls would be there every day if they were local.
I’m wearing my flaming dragon/sword shirt in honour of the blazing fire of the sun (on my face), while Stacy’s keeping it cool with a light, green blouse. The girls are matching in Minecraft shirts (which they actively try to wear on the same days). Yes, they are ready to craft some mines. Or something. I don’t know; I don’t play it.
