Fatherhood

Kia’s grown almost an inch and a half just over the summer; she thought that her dress had shrunk when she got ready for her first-day-back photo.  Nope, you’re just growing like crazy.  For our extended family that saw her back in June and not since?  She’s already working on getting taller than you.  While Arwyn isn’t happy that she’s getting left behind and will very possibly never be as tall as Kia, she’s plenty willing to steal off with some of Kia’s clothes as they get outgrown.  Kia’s desperately trying to hold onto some of her favourite outfits, but honestly… her knee-length dress is rapidly heading towards thigh-length and some clothes have already gotten the parental veto.  😛

I’m wearing a newish shirt that I finally got a picture of, which says “I got my patience tested, I’m negative.”  For some things, that’s very true, though it actually fits Arwyn even better than me, so we’ll see how long before she tries to steal it, too.  The girls are both wearing Princess Awesome dresses (with pockets!), both of which have cat themes.  Arwyn’s has cats in a chemistry lab (which is kind of terrifying to think about) and Kia’s has cats amongst the bookshelves, which is more reasonable (though some books may end up on the floor).
