Fatherhood 697
We first found The Villagers Restaurant years ago after a particularly wet and cold day at the Renfest and we’ve been going back every year since then. It’s a breakfast all day kind of place and we often go that route: I had French toast, this year, and my mom and the girls each had “cinnamon roll pancakes,” which I had last year. They’re ridiculously good. Also, yes, fantastic hot chocolate with a free refill? I’m down with that! As for the festival itself, it was a colder breeze through there than we had expected, but it was a lot of fun, otherwise. Bought some art, watched the pirate magician and his beautiful, sweetheart of a cat do their thing (and, this time, Kia was figuring out his methods), and the girls each got themselves a walking staff.
I’m wearing my Thor/Mjolnir- themed, Celtic knotwork shirt, and Stacy’s got her lavender faerie shirt, both of which seemed suitable for the subject. The girls are showing off their cloaks and looking all mysterious and stuff. They had full costumes under them, and Stacy and I dressed up for the actual show, as well, naturally.
