I have to think that I could’ve gotten things done a bit faster without the assistance – including some help in getting the yard decorations out – but I figure that it’s good for them to be a part of it. Eventually, I can just start making them do most of it. 😉 Yeah, I got some years before that’s likely to happen, I know. Anyway, they were happy to wander off and play while I put the actual lights up on the front porch, so that went fairly well. Bonus points for it being decently warm, so I could still feel my fingers when I was done!
It’s now past U.S. Thanksgiving, so I’m diving into the Christmas-themed shirts, starting with my Godzilla “ugly sweater” style shirt. The girls are wearing the dresses that they wore for Thanksgiving dinner because they’re always happy to dress up fancy (which is why there’s a rule for not wearing fancy stuff if they’re going to be playing outside). Kia’s channeling some springtime feelings with a shiny green top over a very flowery dress, while Arwyn’s all-in on the purple, with her velvety/shimmery dress.
